Here you can find different ways of installing Spotify for Linux. Spotify for Linux is a labor of love from our engineers that wanted to listen to Spotify on their Linux development machines. They work on it in their spare time and it is currently not a platform that we actively support. The experience may differ from our other Spotify Desktop clients, such as Windows and Mac. You can tell us what you think and ask other users for help at theDesktop (Linux) boardin The Spotify Community forum.

Update the Spotify Mobile App. To set up automatic updates on an iOS device, tap iTunes & App Store, and switch Updates to on. On an Android device, open the Google Play Store. Use the search bar to find Spotify. Tap the three vertical dots in the top right and check Auto-update. Besides, older versions of Spotify app may have some bugs, which might get fixed in the updates. To update Spotify to the latest version, you can go to the Spotify page in App Store and click the update button. However, we recommend you to remove the old Spotify app and reinstall the latest version to prevent unexpected aftermath. I’m a huge fan of Spotify, but I recently encountered a really annoying—and apparently common—bug. No matter what playlist, artist, or album I was listening to (whether on my iPhone, Mac, or Sonos), Spotify would pause every song or two, and I’d have to tap Play for it to continue. The updated design looks great, but since the update it has become quite sluggish and unresponsive. Usually once the application has just started or reloaded it appears to hang, I think it's stuck making a http request to validate the session. The problem is that the whole interface freezes whilst this happens, the list of songs won't even scroll.
